Sometimes, there is no way around it: You are forced to move to a new place... It is at these moments when all the extra time spent in making a cockpit modular really pays off. In my case, the disassembly of the whole cockpit takes around 6 hours. After that, the pieces still fill a room, but now they can easily be packed for transport.

Putting it all together again takes a bit longer, in my case around 6 days - theoretically. On the other hand: At this stage it is very tempting to do some of the upgrades and modifications that had always been postponed (because it is so nice to have a cockpit that actually is in flying condition). So the reassembly period can easily extend into months ...
